RAT Race Registration 2026

Description

**Online advanced resgistration closes at 3 PM on Friday, June 5. If you would like to register to race, please sign up onsite at the RAT Tent at Greenwoods. 
You can register on-site from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 5 or from 6-7 AM on Saturday, June 6.

 

RAT RACE | JUNE 6, 2026
The RAT Race is a XC mountain bike race on flowy singletrack, encompassing the best trails at RAT trails in Ridgway, CO. The Race offers categories for intermediate and expert-level riders. Race staging begins at 7:30 AM. The race kicks off at 8 AM. After the race, join us for an after-party and podiums.

RACE CATEGORIES
The race categories for Open, Single Speed or 50+ offers two laps on the course and approx. 38 miles of trail. The Junior (under 18) and Casual categories offer one lap only with approx. 22 miles of trail. If you would like to ride two laps, please sign up for the Adult/Open division online.

  • Open | Men’s & Women’s Division (2 laps)
  • 50+ | Men’s & Women’s Division (2 laps)
  • Casual | Men’s & Women’s Division (1 lap)
  • Single Speed  | Men’s & Women’s Division (2 laps)
  • Junior | Men’s & Women’s Division (1 lap)

REGISTRATION FEES (The race is capped at 200 riders max)

  • Online Advanced Registration fees: Adults: $90 | Juniors: $50
  • On-site registration fees: Adults: $100 | Juniors: $60
    • You can register on-site from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 5 or from 6-7 AM on Saturday, June 6.

RACE COURSE

All racers will ride a 5.5 mile starting segment and 3.3 mile finishing segment. Internal course laps are 13.2 miles.

  • One Lap totals approx. 22 miles
  • Two Laps totals approx. 35 miles

PLATE PICKUP

Racers can pick up plates and sign-in from 5-8 PM on Friday, June 5 or from 6-7 AM on Saturday, June 6. Look for the RAT tent in the lot next to Greenwoods Restaurant: 160 Palomino Trail, Ridgway, CO 81432
Race staging begins at 7:30 AM. The race kicks off at 8 AM. After the race, join us for an after-party and podiums.

PARKING
Parking is available along Palomino Trail Road South of Greenwoods, or to the East end of Hunter Parkway. Do not park in front of Greenwoods or at the main RAT Trailhead.

RACE START/FINISH
The race will start at 8 AM sharp in the lot next to Greenwoods Restaurant (160 Palomino Trail, Ridgway, CO 81432)
There will be a neutral rollout to start, then the open race will begin on County Road 12.
